Le Vie and EyeBitten Ads

It is that time again to make ads.  This time I am also making some for EyeBitten, an alternative male fasion magazine I was asked to model for.  Unlike the ther ads I did not actualymake the pictues.  I posed from a photographer I admire greatly, Kei Kojishi and he did amazing things with the snashots he took.  Simply stunning work.  I asked him if I could use them for ads and he said as long as he got credit for his work so I said of course and threw text on his pictures and here they are.

Face Gem Decorations

So I decided after seeing no decent face gems in SL that didn't eat your face that I would make some.  They are often seen in visual and oshare kei to decorate the eye area or forhead but I only mad eye ones.  Mini prim hell again especially since each gem is two prims but I am happy they are sculpt so have the right shape.  I made them in several styles for veriety and idot me made like 8 colors.  That was such a pain when I was setting them up in the stores.  I have a whole new level of respect for hair makers or anyone who makes many color selections of anything lol  They seem to be popular.  I sold quite a few the first day and things never sell for me on the first day so I am pretty excited about that.  Maybe I will make head gems soon too.

Visual Face Masks

So this was my first set of original items and I am pretty proud.  When I first started my stores ::Bushido:: and [Actuate Eden] I never thought I would be able to make anything of my own design and would be making cosplay forever.  I learned a lot about original design this time and I am pretty confident I will be making more in the future.  Everyone always said I should be a fasion designer anyway lol  I made a lot of styles because I wanted people to have as many options as possible.  I knew before I said I wasn't going to make anything for a long time and at the time it felt very true but as I laid there there, more and more I was drawn to designing for comfort and thus these were born.  It was a challenge trying to come up with multiple designs people would like but I think I did alright.  I really hope people like them and use them in their outfits.

Kyo ~ Dir en Grey ~ Ain't Afraid to Die

Another outfit inspired by Hentai, the owner of Kanzen ni Jrock.  We were talking one day, about what I  cannot rightly remeber but somehow we came to the topic of Dir en Grey and their song Ain't Afraid to Die.  He expressed to me how that song changed his entire prospective on life and in essence saved him from himself.  The story was so touching I felt compelled at once to make somethig fom the video.  I watched it a great many times before deciding on Kyo.  The fact it was Kyo I decided to do was actually pretty funny since I had been working on Kyo already but the alternate red Myaku outfit which I had put aside to work on hide which then I put aside to do this.  I am a scatter brain, I know.  This outfit was actuactually relatively easy after all the other outfits I have done.  The hardest part was probubly the glasses.  Getting them to look natural on his face was extreemly difficult.  I also ran into a problem while making the skin.  Half way through making it I noticed Kyo had a giant slash across his throat.  How I missed that the first hundred times I will never know.  Well it seems making such a scar right where it should be is a puzzle peice project on the head layer.  There was no way I was going to make it look right so I put it as far up as I could on the neck portion of the chest layer.  I think it looks pretty close and I learned more about making skins.  Another difficult part about the skin was finding what the symbol on Kyo's head was.  His hair is constantly in the way in the video and it drove me crazy.  A friend finally found one poster at high enough resolution that I could see it properly and recreate it for the skin.  I am happy to add Ain't Afraid to Die to the [Acuate Eden] colection and I hope many enjoy it.

La Vie d'Innocent Ad ~ Gackt

It is that time again where I must make an ad for Morrigan's magazine La Vie d'Innocent.  I could use the Asagi one I had for the last issue but I don't want readers to become bored with/used to my ads so I have made another.  Slowly I have been trying to recreate the official photos of the real artists in SL and one of them came out so well I had to use it as an ad.  This one is of Gackt while he was a member of Malice Mizer in his promotional video version of the Le Ciel outfit.  I really love how it came out and I hope everyone reading his magazine will too.

Die ~ Dir en Grey ~ Macabre

This was an outfit inspired by Hen, the owner of Kanzen ni Jrock. The first time she was ever introduced to jrock was with Die in this very outfit. I took it upon myself to make this for her. It was a bigger task then I had first realised. I literally had nightmares of metal miniprims trying to eat me. I learned a lot however about what can be primmed and what can't and how to use prims better. This outfit includes the shoes because it would look retarded wothout them and that was a dificult task within itselt as well. A big obstical was that this was not in any videos and I could only find photos of it. Luckily it seems to be popular and there were many to work with though. This might have been my longest project but I think I came back with the most knowladge from it. I am extreemly proud of this one, more then any other I have made. We took it and used it in a fundraiser for the Kanzen club before it it is officially released and it sold for 4K in the auction! I was floored really. At least my hard work paid off really well. Below I have put the item and a few of my refrence pictures.
